About ESAN
Our history
ESAN was founded on July 25, 1963, as part of an agreement between the governments of the United States and Peru. Its setting-up and implementation was entrusted to the Stanford Graduate School of Business, becoming the first graduate business school in the Spanish-speaking world in South America.
Transformed into a university since July 12, 2003 (Law No. 28021), it offers careers at the undergraduate level, as well as programs for executives in various formats, corporate programs and other academic and professional services.
Almost 60 years old, ESAN Graduate School of Business offers programs such as the Doctoral Program in Business Administration; the Master in Business Administration - MBA in Lima in all its modalities and in Regions in weekend mode; 13 Specialized Master's Degrees divided into 8 master's degrees from the functional areas of the company and 5 from the main economic sectors; as well as its Executive Education programs, which include one-year high-specialization programs up to two-month immediate application programs, short courses and seminars. In addition, tailor-made programs are offered for companies and the public sector. Finally, language programs such as official TOEIC EXAMS of ETS, Professional English Program with international certification of EDUSOFT - ETS, in face-to-face and online mode. During 2020, due to the juncture the world is in as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, all programs are being taught online.
Since its inception, ESAN has been considered one of the best schools in Latin America. Today, the magazine América Economía ranked our school as the N° 1 in Peru and TOP 5 among the best schools in Latin America. QS Global MBA Rankings 2020, prepared by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company specializing in the international higher education market, placed ESAN as the N°1 and TOP 3 among business schools in Latin America. In addition to earning first place in return on investment, Financial Times ranked ESAN as the N°1 school in Peru and N°7 in Latin America.
ESAN has also achieved international accreditations such as AACSB and AMBA; as well as international memberships such as EFMD, NIBES, CLADEA, PIM, PRME and UNICON.
ESAN is a Peruvian non-profit private institution, with an international prestige and academic and management autonomy.

Organization
ESAN University is a non-profit private institution, with indefinite duration, constituted as a legal person of private law and registered in the Book of Associations of the Registry of Legal Entities of Lima and with main offices in Lima. It is autonomous in academic, economic, normative and governmental matters, and guarantees freedom of thought, teaching, criticism and expression, without regard to race, gender, religious creed or political affiliation.
ESAN University is governed by its By-laws, its internal regulations and other State regulations applicable to it within its own autonomy. The governance of ESAN University corresponds to its organs and authorities which are: the General Assembly, the University Council, the rector and the academic vice-rector, the Faculty councils and the deans.

Campus and Classrooms
Our campus located in Monterrico-Surco, a central and residential area of Lima, offers our students more than 60,000 square meters provided with the most modern technology, as well as large green areas for sports and recreation.
For the best use of the study time, our courses are provided with virtual platforms, facilitating the student-teacher interaction. In addition, our classrooms, laboratories, study rooms and computer rooms are equipped with multimedia systems, wi-fi internet, network connection for individual computers and equipment for international teleconferences.
Taking into consideration the environment of our campus, in 2013 we continued with the development of our vertical infrastructure, with the construction of the new six-storey building: 52 rooms, 15 study rooms and a cafeteria. It was built respecting the environment and the training philosophy.
ESAN CENDOC: Library and Information Center
At ESAN University we have the most complete and up-to-date information centre specialising in Economics and Business in the country: ESAN Cendoc. It oversees the general coordination of the Association of Directors of Information Centers of CLADEA, a network composed of more than 130 university libraries in Latin America and the Caribbean. It has more than 60,000 book titles, 15,000 digitized titles in Spanish and English, 15,000 title of printed or digital magazines and periodicals, as well as multiple databases from various business disciplines.
Technology Platform – ESAN Data
Founded as the country’s most modern IT centre, ESAN Data is one of the pillars of ESAN University in creating cutting-edge technology services and tools for the service of education and the private business sector.
FAB LAB ESAN
ESAN University now has a state-of-the-art FAB LAB, which is a digitally made laboratory and is part of the prestigious global innovation network FAB LAB Network of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The FAB LAB ESAN will allow students and teachers from various careers to transfer their ideas from mind to reality using advanced technology equipment and 3D printers. In this way we will optimize the production processes, promoting entrepreneurship.
In addition, being part of a global digital network allows us to access the latest innovation knowledge and be at the forefront.

The Postgraduate Academic Quality Support Unit (APCA) ensures the correct implementation of the ESAN Educational Model, through three lines of action: Curriculum Development, Research and Innovation, and Teaching Management.
